Job Description
Our client is searching for a qualified CA (SA) to join their team in the West Rand of GautengThe purpose of the position will be to support the Reporting; Finance and Tax functions.The candidate must reside in Johannesburg or be serious to relocate. This is not a remote position.Minimum Requirements:
- Qualified CA (SA)
- Minimum of 1 year experience out of articles
- IFRS knowledge
- Experience in consolidations (advantageous)
- Strong interest in tax and SARS experience
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Clean criminal record
- Advanced experience in MS Excel (non-negotiable!)
- Support the finance department in assessing new IFRS standards, develop accounting policies and manuals to facilitate adherence to IFRS.
- Assisting in drafting of company financial statements in line with IFRS and Companies Act requirements.
- Analyse accounts upon request.
- Ensure all the journals are up to date and correct.
- Advise and assist with the necessary training in accounting, administration and computer usage.
- Assist other accounting staff, specifically at rush periods.
- Help the external auditors to complete a timeous audit
- Carry out ad hoc projects and investigations as and when necessary.
- Group Reporting.
- Tax administration and compliance (Tax compliance, consulting and accounting).
- Consolidation.
- Other Ad hoc reporting duties.
