If you have the right vision, energy and attitude, this is a company where you can carve yourself a long term, rewarding career.Purpose of the role:Reporting to the Manufacturing Director this role will see you overseeing the Quality department, ensuring that all products produced meet established quality standards. This includes monitoring the production line, implementing quality control procedures, and supervising department staff. The role requires adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to maintain high product standards and compliance.Key responsibilities:Implement and maintain QC processes for raw materials, components, and production.Supervise staff, ensuring health & safety, task allocation, and discipline. Overseeing attendance, monitoring productivity, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. This includes maintaining accurate attendance records, addressing performance issues, and fostering a safe working environment.Handle administrative tasks and reports for staff and production. (time sheets, production sheets, transfer sheets, job cards, scrap reports, tool breakage reports, incident reports, etc)Report immediately if quality is compromised.Maintain high product standards consistently.Communicate with all relevant stakeholders including the Manufacturing Director, Production Manager, Technical Manager, HR Manager, Supervisors and employees.Manage raw material and component stores, ensuring First in First out apply and quality checks.Conduct full stock takes as directed by management and auditors.Qualifications:Grade 12 or equivalent qualification essentialAccredited basic Supervisory courseAccredited basic quality control course (advantageous)Accredited basic storekeeping course (advantageous)Experience:Knowledge of product quality principles3 - 5 years storekeeping/ logistics experience3 - 5 years supervisory experience managing health & safety, task allocation, attendance, productivity, and discipline, ensuring safety protocols and a safe working environmentThe candidate:Good verbal and written communication skillsGood planning and organizing skills.Ability to delegate work and give instruction.TeamworkBeing flexible in the work environmentProblem solvingAnalytical thinkingGood numerical abilitiesCoaching/ Staff developmentOpenness to personal growth and continuous learningMust be computer literate.This position may require of the incumbent to work overtime from time to time if required.Please note that the salary advertised is an estimated Cost to Company figures in includes basic plus benefits.Job Type: Full-timePay: R27 000,00 - R34 000,00 per monthAbility to commute/relocate:Atlantis, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Application Question(s):Where do you currently live?Education:High School (matric) (Required)Experience:storekeeping/ logistics: 3 years (Preferred)supervisory: 3 years (Preferred)
