Purpose of the jobAs the Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Quality Assurance department and to ensure consistent product quality that is fit for purpose and will satisfy customer needs, remaining cost effective and in compliance with legislative requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, develop and Implement the Company Quality StrategyManage QA team including technologistsAlignment of company quality standards with legislative requirements and to manage risksRelationship Management with internal and external stakeholdersLeadershipManagement of redundant or damaged stockProposed new developments and changes to business process and technologyRequirementsRelevant Tertiary qualification is preferable eg. Degree/Diploma in Business ManagementTertiary qualification in textile testing and or clothing manufacturing with quality assurance / textile technology as subject will be an advantage5 to 8 years leadership experience in a quality assurance environmentRetail experience is essentialStrong leadership and team management skills with a track record of achieving results.Good administrative and computer skills (MS Office/Google Suite)Strong Leadership and Management abilitiesProblem assessment and decision making abilitiesBuilding and maintaining good relationships - internal and external to PEPKnowledge of provincial legislation with regards to safe disposal of stockKnowledge of Occupational Health & Safety ActHazardous Substances ActCompetencies: Delegating, Performing under pressure, Client focus, Assertiveness, Analysing and forming opinions, Strategic insight, Helicopter view, Situational awareness
