Job Description


Job Summary KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Conduct audits of processes, systems, and documentation to assess compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Review and analyse data to monitor quality performance indicators (QPIs), such as defect rates, complaints, audit non-conformances and non-conformance reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on quality assurance processes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Participate in the development and review of quality documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, test procedures, configuration management and quality manuals.
  • Investigate reports, complaints and non-conformances to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinate and support external audits and inspections by regulatory agencies or customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities, audit findings, and corrective actions taken.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in quality assurance.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in quality assurance, engineering, science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control, preferably in a regulated industry such as aviation, military, engineering, transport, tooling or manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and quality standards (ISO/ SACAA regulations).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and root causes of quality issues.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in documentation and data analysis.
Advantageous Qualifications:
  • Certification in quality management or quality assurance (Lead Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Engineer).
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in conducting internal and external audits.
  • Familiarity with risk management principles and tools (FMEA, risk assessment).
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis tools (Bow tie, Fishbone, 5w).
REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in using quality assurance tools and software for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
