A well-established plastic injection moulding company based in Blackheath, Cape Town, is looking for a passionate

Quality Control Inspector to join their team.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Matric (NSC) / NQF Level 4 Education. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment Polymer manufacturing industry experience would be preferred.

Duties include (but not limited to):

Read Quality Description Sheet and In-process Inspection Record to comprehend the quality expectations of the manufactured product and Customer requirements. Approve or reject in-process manufactured products in line with the part specific Quality Description Sheet and In-process Inspection Record. Conduct Hourly or relevant sample validation - of current manufacturing processes in progress, using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.) Use automated systems to perform complex testing procedures - Shadow-graph. Maintain records of testing, information and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc. Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards Monitor the use of measuring equipment to ensure it is safe and well-maintained and disposition appropriately. Prepare and submit reports to the Quality Manager
