Job Purpose:

Sparcraft Masts is seeking an experienced Quality Control Supervisor to oversee all aspects of quality assurance and control in the manufacturing process. This role is essential for ensuring that all masts, spars, and rigging components meet the highest standards of quality before they reach our customers. Sailing or rigging experience is preferred, as it will allow you to have a deeper understanding of the products and their requirements. Drafting or mechanical design experience will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the quality control process for all products, ensuring they meet the company's specifications and industry standards. Conduct inspections and audits on products, materials, and processes throughout production. Lead a team of quality control professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure quality standards are maintained. Identify areas for improvement in the production process and work closely with the production team to implement corrective actions. Develop and maintain quality control policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure consistency and compliance. Perform final inspections before products are shipped, ensuring they meet both internal and customer requirements. Collaborate with suppliers and customers to address any quality issues and improve product quality. Monitor and report on quality metrics, tracking defects and addressing any issues promptly. Provide training to staff on quality control procedures and best practices.

Qualifications/Skills:

Proven experience as a Quality Control Supervisor, preferably in the yacht rigging or manufacturing industry. Strong understanding of quality control processes, standards, and techniques. Knowledge of yacht rigging, sailing, or relevant marine industries is highly preferred. Drafting or mechanical design experience will be advantageous. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products. Ability to problem-solve and implement effective solutions to improve quality. Proficiency in quality control tools and software. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
