Conduct daily inspection and quality control of general building works to reach set standards.
Conduct spot checks on work orders to verify work completion.
Up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
Plan and inspect for a preventative maintenance program.
Write and maintain standard operating procedures related to the position.
Input and retrieve data on PeopleSoft Financials and related maintenance programs.
Report on quality of maintenance / construction performed.
Submit emergency maintenance service requests as required.
Report on compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
Report to management as required, in a structured report format.
Convey information in reports, meetings, and status reports.
Perform general administrative tasks relating to the functioning of Facilities Administrative Service division.
Manage procurement and administration related to minor construction projects.
Report on projects, ensuring quality and compliance.
Knowledgeable in market related pricing and price build-ups.
Cost control throughout the project cycle.
Laisse with clients throughout projects.
Continuously resolve helpdesk and client enquiries related to work orders.Inherent requirements:
Bachelors degree or an Advance Diploma in Build Environment on NQF Level 7.
A minimum of two (2) years' relevant working experience related to the duties and responsibilities.
A valid Code B drivers licence.
Must be available to travel and work on all campuses.Recommendations:
Experience in general building works quality control.
Knowledge of procurement policies
