Job Description
Quality Coordinator - MidrandThis person will coordinate, evaluate and ensure that all materials throughout the production process conform with company and customer quality standards, from raw materials to finished goods, and that deviations are reported, and immediate corrective action is taken.Responsibilities:
- Perform analytical testing and sensory evaluation on raw materials and/or finished products to determine compliance to the specifications.
- Identify any non-conforming product, communicating this information to the relevant stakeholders and assisting the QA manager in determining the root cause and corrective action.
- Assist in maintaining appropriate information systems (QC/QA Databases, test plans, methods and procedures, calibrations) to ensure compliance to regulatory, customer and third-party requirements.
- Support the Quality and Food safety programs.
- Conduct GMP audits & other line inspections.
- Ensure that Products and/or Raw Materials are released on time to prevent delays.
- Qualification in Food Technology
- Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in a similar role in an FMCG manufacturing concern operating within documented Quality Systems
- Proven knowledge and experience of scientific testing techniques
- Ability to interpret results of analytical and microbiological testing
- Attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication ability to deal with both suppliers and customers
- Solid experience with MS Office and specifically Excel
