We invite candidates to apply for the Quality Engineer role in the Quality Assurance Department of our client in the Automotive Manufacturing Industry, based in Kariega.The role involves planning, coordinating, and overseeing quality audits and inspections in various automotive manufacturing areas (Press, Body, Paint, and Assembly shops).Responsibilities include monitoring and reporting on product surface quality and mechanical joints, addressing non-conformities, and driving product improvements by investigating root causes of top faults and implementing corrective actions.The aim is to meet Konzern Quality standards and facilitate continuous improvement.Duties:

• Establishing root causes and implement corrective actions for allocated quality problems.
• Interfacing with various departments within the Group
• Present findings / reports at various forums and management structures
• Liaising with overseas counterparts with regard to build/quality matters
• Co-ordinate and be accountable for Quality issues.
• Lead cross functional teams when required.
• Monitor and reporting of non-conformances and processes to drive early detection and initiate corrective actions.

• Have a minimum National Diploma in one of the following engineering sciences (ND Mechanical. Electrical, Mechatronics, Metallurgy)

• Have 3 -5 years experience within the manufacturing industry.

• Have good report writing and presentation skills.
• Have proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Sound knowledge of Vehicle Manufacturing processes
• Sound problem-solving skills and Quality Tools e.g., Fishbone, FMEA, SPC & DOE
• Experience in interpreting measuring reports and technical drawings
• Proficiency in database software packages (MS SQL, Oracle etc.)
• Be assertive and have the ability to motivate.
• Be a team player and be able to work under pressure.
• In-depth knowledge of bolting equipment and applications inclusive of monitoring systems and controls.

• Analytically minded with the ability and inclination to work accurately with databases.
• System based data extraction, interpretation and analysis.

• BSc Degree / B-Tech Mechanical / Metallurgy or Mechatronics Engineering
