Work DescriptionThe Improvement Coach is responsible for providing on-site QI coaching to Department of Health personnel working at DoH facilities. This will involve technical guidance to DoH staff to develop, implement, monitor and adapt all QI Projects at a facility and/or sub-district level. Additionally, Coachers will be required to assist in the developing of Quality Improvement capacity within all internal Aurum staff working on the same grant, as well as assist them with implementing quality improvement projects.Technical Work ResponsibilitiesAbility to apply a variety of quality improvement methodologies according to an identified problemAbility to use, analyse and display data for improvement purposesAbility to conduct and teach root cause analysisAbility to use and teach methodologies that can generate change ideasAbilit to apply a systems perspective to work through proficient workflow processes and their analysisCoordination and management of all QI Projects within a DistrictLiaise with Internal and External Customers/StakeholdersQI record keepingHuman capital managementCoaching and mentoringDuties:Continuous communication with IA and Senior IA and District ManagersContinuous communication with DOH Management where necessaryAssisting at Cluster MeetingsAttending DoH Meetings relevant to QIQI site visit scheduling, coordination and oversightAssisting IA at Learning SessionsAnalysis of data to determine if change is an improvementQI Tracker support on the groundDeveloping new change ideas at a Facility levelDocumenting QI success storiesProvide all facilities have up to date QI tools up on the wallComing up with new innovative ideas that can be shared with Mentors and FacilitieDeveloping QI capacity among Aurum Mentors and Area ManagersContinual self-development and keeping up to date with latest developments in the fieldConducting ongoing feed-back sessions with Mentors and ManagersComply with all safety policies, practices and procedures according to prescribed procedures and legislationReport all unsafe activities to Senior Management/Human ResourcesAdhere and maintain decision making authority as allocated to the positionEducationBachelorxe2x80x99s degree, or relevant Quality Improvement at NQF level 74 year's experience working directly in quality improvementExperienceAt least 4 year's experience working directly in quality improvementAt least 4 years experience in implementing quality improvement projects, preferably, Model for ImprovementAbility to work with data for improvement purposesRequirementsProficient personal computer skillsSA Citizen or valid work permit to work in South AfricaBasic computer skillsAdvanced computer skillsDriverxe2x80x99s licenseOwn carMinimal overnight travel (up to 30%) by land or air if requiredWilling to work overtimeClosing date 28 June 2024Please Note:Kindly provide current and relevant references for background checksThese appointments are subject to the preferred candidates obtaining the necessary security clearance, reference checking and competency assessment.
