Quality Laboratory AssistantEssity is a leading global hygiene and health company which develops, produces, and sells Health & Medical, Consumer Tissue and Professional Hygiene products and solutions and has a strong global presence. We are looking for a 6 months FTC Quality Laboratory Assistant to join our quality team based in Pinetown, South Africa. This opportunity is great for an individual who is passionate about what they do and has the ability to add value and walk the path in growing our business with us!About the RoleThe successful incumbent will be responsible for conducting quality audits as per ISO 13485:2016 requirements. They will also oversee the compiling of Quality Management Agreements for suppliers of raw/packaging material, Work Instructions and the updating of SOPxe2x80x99s ensuring that they are aligned to global procedures.We're looking for people who embody our values, aren't afraid to challenge, innovate, experiment, and move at a fast pace. If this is you, we'd love to talk.What You Will DoResponsible for handling customer complaints and capturing them in QIM.Investigation and closing of Quality Near Misses when required.Responsible for the coordination of non-conformance reports, CAPA and Change Control.Has the responsibility and authority to:- initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to the product, process and quality system.- identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system.- initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.Ensure audits are done as per the audit schedule and track findings to ensure timeous close-outs.Compiling of monthly quality reports.Adhere to all company protocols including relevant SOPs, Code of Conduct, Health & Safety standards etc.Who You AreMust have Matric with tertiary qualification. A scientific qualification will be an added advantage.Sound knowledge of ISO 13485:2016.Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing or scientific environment.Must have proficient skill on MS Office package.Must be able to work without supervision and be deadline driven.Must have report writing ability with good administrative skills.Must have high level of analytical reasoning, problem solving and decision-making ability.Must be a strong collaborator with good communication skills (verbal, written and listening).What We Can Offer YouAt Essity, we believe everyone's learning and professional development is unique and want to empower employees to reach their full potential in a winning culture motivated by a powerful purpose.
