Quality Laboratory AssistantEssity is a leading global hygiene and health company which develops, produces, and sells Health & Medical, Consumer Tissue and Professional Hygiene products and solutions and has a strong global presence. We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Quality Laboratory Assistant to join our quality team based in Pinetown, South Africa for an 8-month fixed term contract. This opportunity is great for an individual who is passionate about what they do and has the ability to add value and walk the path in growing our business with us!About the RoleThe successful incumbent will be responsible for document control, artwork approval, label design and preparation of COAxe2x80x99s/COCxe2x80x99s/COIxe2x80x99s. They will see to the preparation of technical data sheets and medical files and the submission of annual samples to SABS.We are looking for people who embody our values, arenxe2x80x99t afraid to challenge, innovate, experiment and move at a fast pace. If this is you, wexe2x80x99d love to talk.What You Will DoCo-ordinate all master data queries in SAP B1 including requests for new SAP numbers.Prepare technical data sheets and medical files and ensure these documents are released within the allocated timeline.Document control i.e. formatting master documents, issuance and retrieval.Compile SOPxe2x80x99s & WIxe2x80x99s that are relevant to your job function.Compile monthly reports relevant to your job function.Responsible for label design and ensure that only current labels are available in the Label Matrix folder.Have the responsibility and authority to:1) Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to the product, process and quality system.2) Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system.3) Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.4) Identify non-conforming intermediate and finished products.Who You AreMust have Matric with tertiary qualification. A scientific qualification will be an added advantage.Sound knowledge and formal training in ISO systems (9001, 13485 & 14001) with auditing thereof.Sound knowledge and formal training in applicable FDA regulations and auditing thereof.Minimum of 3-5 years experience in an administration, production or scientific environment.Must have proficient skill on MS Office package.Must be able to work without supervision and be deadline driven.Must have report writing ability with good administrative skills.Must have high level of analytical reasoning, problem solving and decision-making ability.Must be a strong collaborator with good communication skills (verbal, written and listening).What We Can Offer YouOur purpose, Breaking Barriers to Well-Being, provides meaning to everything we do.
