Closing Date: 24/05/2024Quality Laboratory Lead: SedibengApplications are invited for the above-mentioned role based in Sedibeng. The successful incumbent will report to the Quality Assurance Manager.Key Performance Areas:

  • Plan and organise the Laboratory teams, processes and systems.
  • Investigate and solve product non-conformances and consumer complaints and daily troubleshooting.
  • Identify and report deviations within Laboratory in line with Heineken standards.
  • Attend to the verification and calibration of lab equipment and maintain all records.
  • Ensure update of Laboratory and Quality procedures for easy access to all, as well as maintenance thereof.
  • Ensure housekeeping of the Laboratory is upheld by all.
  • Assist with the stock take in the laboratory as well as maintenance of equipment.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Manage team in compliance to the Performance Management practices, as well as maintain feedback with team through departmental meetings and team feedback sessions.
  • Assist in the training and coaching of employees
  • Motivate team/s and carry out disciplinary action as and when required
Qualification and Experience:Tertiary qualification in BSc Microbiology, Food Technology and or equivalent3-5 years practical experience in supervisory of Laboratory teamsBehavioural Competencies:Good problem solving skills and able to work well in a team environment.A leader to manage team, processes and system and use own initiative to resolve problems as and when requiredThe Company's approved Employment Equity Plan and Targets will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
