Our client in the sheet metal industry is seeking a Quality Manager to join them in Sandton, Gauteng. The position will entail Monitoring the production process to make sure that all products meet consistent quality standards. Developing and implementing quality control tests, inspecting products at various stages and writing reports documenting production issuesPOSITION INFO:
Job Title: Quality Manager (Sheet Metal Industry)
Geographical area: Sandton, Gauteng
Salary range: Market RelatedThe successful incumbent will be responsible for:
- Ensure internal quality standards and quality from external suppliers
- Ensure that processes needed for the Quality Management System (QMS) are established, implemented and maintained
- Monitor, document and track quality issues
- Hands on assessment of quality from design to delivery
- Working according to deadlines for the delivery of products
- Tracking products through the manufacturing process to identify deviations from quality standards
- Manage non-conformance and corrective action processes
- Perform routine and non-routine quality inspections
- To stop or suspend production if quality requirements are not achieved
- Diploma in quality management
- Knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes and characteristics as well as specific actions relating to ISO 9001: 2015
- CAD and CAM knowledge and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Minimum 5 years in managerial level
