Our client in the sheet metal industry is seeking a Quality Manager to join them in Sandton, Gauteng. The position will entail Monitoring the production process to make sure that all products meet consistent quality standards. Salary range: Market RelatedThe successful incumbent will be responsible for:
- Ensure internal quality standards and quality from external suppliers
- Ensure that processes needed for the Quality Management System (QMS) are established, implemented and maintained
- Monitor, document and track quality issues
- Hands on assessment of quality from design to delivery
- Working according to deadlines for the delivery of products
- Tracking products through the manufacturing process to identify deviations from quality standards
- Manage non-conformance and corrective action processes
- Perform routine and non-routine quality inspections
- To stop or suspend production if quality requirements are not achieved
- Diploma in quality management
- Knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes and characteristics as well as specific actions relating to ISO 9001: 2015
- CAD and CAM knowledge and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Minimum 5 years in managerial level
