As a Quality Assurance Technician, you'll ensure timely support to manufacturing team during production. Moreover, you'll make sure that all relevant standards are respected during the manufacturing process. You'll also have to guarantee that intermediate and finished product non-conformities are managed, and related corrective & preventive actions upheld. Apart from these, you'll consistently apply OPEN+ standards of working.
Your 'day to day'
Support production teams by providing Quality guidance and support in case of issues. Share/transfer knowledge and expertise. Train the floor on Quality practices/procedures and ensure the operational staff remains up to date with PMI Quality requirements.
Plan and perform sampling, tests and analyses on the quality of tobacco, materials, semi-finished and finished products according to applicable procedures and analytical methodologies. Ensure the integrity and the timely reporting of analysis results are in the appropriate system. Support the analysis of material, semi-finished and Finished Goods in case approaching expiry dates so as to define the possibility of an extension especially regarding chemical analysis.
Provide support to the production team and ensure that documentation is handled according to QMS
Investigate in a timely manner non-conformities and deviations. Audit and resolve critical deviations, contribute to defining disposal actions and when appropriate corrective actions. Based on recommendations from partners concerned, take part in the decision to release/destroy the non-conform products blocked due to quality issues and supervise the related costs.
Propose and follow-up quality improvement ideas in production or other processes in Operations. Analyze the information and participate in small projects with influence on product quality.
Manage the retention, storage and destruction of finished product samples
Communicate all useful information ensuring good flow of Quality processes to concerned colleagues and to support teams to meet efficiency and quality
Participate in the creation/review of procedures, work instructions and other required Quality documents. Provide support and training in accordance with the training management system.
Promote and apply all rules concerning PMI Quality, environment, health and safety. Report all situations requiring actions to minimize or eliminate risks exposure to personnel, company assets and societal impacts and be in line with or ahead of any applicable Law requirements and Company standards.
Who we're looking for
Bachelors degree in quality management is preferred
Minimum 2 years quality assurance working experience within FMCG environment is required
Effective communicator, action driven, used to work with multiple partners
Good knowledge of Microsoft office
Proficiency in English both written and verbal
