Purpose of the Role:As a Quantitative Analyst, you will be an integral part of the Research and Innovation team, developing and applying quantitative models to provide actionable investment insights. You will collaborate with the Quantitative Specialist and various investment teams to drive our investment strategies forward.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and manage quantitative models to support asset allocation and optimize financial and developmental returns.- Conduct thorough research to enhance sector investment models.- Implement and refine models to evaluate the impact of investment ideas.- Perform data mining, cleaning, and analysis using tools like R, PowerBI, and Python.- Stay abreast of the latest in model-building methodologies and apply them within our business.- Assist in building the data science capabilities of the organization.- Execute ad-hoc analytics and data science projects as needed.- Ensure we remain at the forefront of leading investment practices in South Africa and the African continent.What Wexe2x80x99re Looking For:- Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree with specialization in a quantitative discipline.- 3-5 years of experience in quantitative research within the investment industry.Skills:- Proficiency in statistical and mathematical applications in asset management.- Advanced programming skills (R, PowerBI, Python).- Strong data analytics and predictive analytics capabilities, with a focus on AI & ML.- Excellent analytical, numerical, and financial analysis skills.- Effective communication and presentation skills.- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.- Attention to detail and a passion for excellence.
