Job Description

Hire Resolve is currently partnering with a leading construction company seeking a Quantity Surveyor for their offices in Durbanville, WC.It's a hybrid role, primarily based at our Durbanville Head Office, yet also involves on-site duties on designated projects.As a Construction Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will revolve around cost control, management, planning, and reporting.Responsibilities:

• Controlling costs to keep projects within budget.
• Managing project finances and planning.
• Creating detailed cost reports.
• Estimating and budgeting for future projects.
• Collaborating with project teams.
• Visiting sites to monitor progress and costs.
• Negotiating with suppliers and contractors.
• Staying updated on industry trends and regulations.
• Improving cost control processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• Valid driver's license.
• 5+ years of management experience in construction.
• Expertise in cost estimation and budgeting.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools.
• Membership in a professional organization, such as SACQSP, is beneficial.
• Proficiency in Cost Control, Management, and Reporting.
• Experience in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Estimating.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills, especially under pressure.
• Effective negotiation and communication skills with peers and consulting teams.
• Ability to mentor junior staff members.
