DBN0000031 - Quantity Surveyor (Domestic) CPT Eastern SuburbsPurpose of the Job:
To manage the financial aspects of a construction project within a home, ensuring that the project stays within budget by accurately estimating costsRequired Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar
- At least 5 years experience in a Domestic construction business
- Traveling from the office to various sites as required with company transport.
- Project management experience essential.
- Excel experience essential.
- Provide cost estimates to create quotes to present to clients.
- Based on the final blueprints that will be used in the contract, present the final quotation.
- Manage the process of establishing a construction contract between the client and the business.
- Create invoices for each variation order in accordance with the contract's specifications.
- Maintain a record of invoices and provide the client with a statement for each invoice.
- Creating Bills of Quantities for every client using the architectural plan as a guide.
- Draft contract and tender paperwork, including any necessary bills of quantities.
- Assess subcontractor tenders and, if necessary, engage in negotiations.
- Assess subcontractors' work and take appropriate action.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and accountability.
- Adaptable and able to perform under pressure.
