Quantity Surveyor
Job Description
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 10 years of experience working for a contractor. This incumbent must be willing to work away from home, have reliable transport and be proficient in using Candy software.The Quantity Surveyor protects the company`s reputational contractual and commercial interests whilst lowering project costs bases and increasing the revenue stream. The incumbent acts in liaison with various project stakeholders to safeguard the company`s interests, advises on cost and contractual arrangements and prepares contract documents. The QS ensures statutory compliance and that company procedures are being adhered to.Academic QualificationTertiary Degree / DiplomaYears of Experience as a QS for a contractor10 Years + Technical ExperienceProfessional Registration and Statutory appointmentASAQS /MBASA Council for the Quantity Surveying ProfessionalsKey RelationshipsClientsContracts ManagerInternal Support DepartmentsSub-contractors / SMME'sRole Specific DemandsTravel to and from siteHeavy workload and long hoursWorking away from homeReports toSenior Quantity Surveyor
