Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Registered Quantity Surveyor (Pr QS) to join our team, specializing in petrochemical projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing all aspects of cost management and contract administration for our petrochemical projects.Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive quantity surveying services for petrochemical projects, ensuring cost control and financial management.

• Prepare and manage project budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports.

• Conduct detailed measurement and valuation of construction work.

• Administer and manage NEC contracts with a strong emphasis on compliance and risk management.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.

• Conduct feasibility studies and prepare detailed cost plans.

• Monitor project progress and conduct regular cost audits.

• Negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts.

• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements * BSc (Hons) degree in Quantity Surveying.

• Professional registration with the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP) as a Pr QS.

• Over 5 years of extensive experience in quantity surveying, preferably within a consulting firm environment.

• Proven experience in managing NEC contracts within petrochemical projects.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
