Are you a qualified Quantity Surveyor with at least 1 year experience, available to work on a fixed term contract?Do you have knowledge or experience in managing project budgets and procurement within the construction industry?
Our client based in the Paarden Eiland area, requires the expertise of a methodical individual who can operate within a pressurised environment while exceeding the expectations of the companies International Clients.Core hours are 7am to 3pm and thereafter overtime applies, based on the projects.REQUIREMENTS

• Matric, Minimum of a Diploma in one of the following:
• Building Estimating
• Quantity Surveying
• Construction Procurement
• Construction Finance
• Engineering (Mechanical, Structural or Civil)
• Construction Supervision/Management
• Engineering Estimation
• Minimum 3 years in the Construction/Engineering Industry
• Competency in Software:
• MS Office 2013 (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) - Required
• WinQS - advantageous, not a requirement
• DimX - advantageous, not a requirement
• SAP - advantageous, not a requirement
• Experience with accounting software (SAP, Pastel, Sage, etc.) - advantageous, not a requirement
• Estimating software- advantageous, not a requirement
• Adobe- advantageous, not a requirement
• Attention to detail
• Deadline-driven
• Willingness to learn and build on existing experience
• Normal Working Hours: 07:00 - 15:00 (approx. 90 days per year)
• Project Specific Working Hours: 07:00 - 19:00 including weekends and public holidays (projects range from 40 to 90 days) x 3 per year

DUTIES

• Assist in Final Account verification (check contractor quotations against contract rates)
• Set up enquiry BOQ's from a scope of work
• Adjudication of tenders
• Prepare Contract BOQ's
• Administer Contract Variation Orders
• Manage enquiries for tender purposes
• Conduct site measures
• Process interim payments
• Prepare engineering estimates
• Perform cost reporting
