MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSMatric certificate/ equivalentCertificate of Competency as a Raisebore OperatorCompetency A & B will be an advantageValid drivers license & own reliable transportNo criminal record, be able to successfully pass all SAPS and Client screening processesMedically Fit to work undergroundEXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS3 years underground experience as Raise Boring OperatorRaiseboring & drilling machines & systemsOperation of Robotic Shaft Liner will be an added advantageBe able to work flexible hours and willing to relocateBe willing to work outside the borders of South AfricaROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESChecking all Health & Safety issues around your workplace, equipment, and subordinatesEnsure the machine is assembled according to the procedures & Code of Practices as well as the manufacturers specificationsInspect the hanging wall & make sure that it is safeCheck if eye bolts are securedClean footwall in accordance with procedure & Code of Practices as well as the manufacturers specificationsLine-up holes & drilling in accordance with marked spots, direction, procedure& Code of Practices as well as the manufacturers specificationsBe able to work at heightsMonitoring the performance of the machine ensuring optimal performanceEnsure that the following daily maintenance is conducted in accordance with procedure & Code of Practices as well as the manufacturers specifications before commencing drilling:

• Routine maintenance of equipment, determining the causes of operating errors
• Hydraulic hoses & electric cabling to be suspended separately
• Electric pack doors to be kept closed in order to prevent water from entering electric pack
• No oil leaks on hydraulic power pack or machine
• Reporting of defects in equipment
• Monitoring & reporting malfunction of any device/ gauge on equipment
• Store equipment in a safe place on completion of drilling or on completion of working shift
• Be responsible and accountable for tools and equipment
