Job Description
A Popular Volunteer Project is looking for a RANGER/WILDLIFE MONITOR to join their teamCandidate Requirements:
- Completed FGASA Level 1 (NQF 2) with a valid DEAT registration
- Valid driver's license and PrDP with 4x4 driving experience
- Valid first aid certificate
- Must have Advanced Rifle Handling
- Must be passionate about conservation
- Must have previous experience as a field guide or in a research/monitoring position
- Must be fluent in English and have good communication skills, written and verbal
- Must be computer literate
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Must be able to work in a team but also as an individual
- Conducting drives with the volunteers to monitor animals
- General conservation work
- Creating of identification kits
- Writing up of reports
- Conducting fence patrols
- Processing data from camera traps, data insert and analysis
- General maintenance
