VACANCY: RAW MATERIAL AND PEST CONTROL MANAGEROur client a customer-preferred manufacturer, marketer, and distributor of maize and other diverse value-add products currently has a vacancy for a Raw Material and Pest Control Manager.Key Responsibilities:
xc2xb7 Internal and external communication to all stakeholders.
xc2xb7 Grading of all incoming Raw materials (Must comply with Grading Regulations).
xc2xb7 Quality assurance of all Raw materials.
xc2xb7 Ensure Fumigation is done as per IPMP and raw materials managed while in storage.
xc2xb7 Zero tolerance on infestation.
xc2xb7 Compile daily, weekly and monthly reports (Raw Material and Pest Control).
xc2xb7 Ensure Food Safety Management System is adhered to (FSSC22000).
xc2xb7 Collecting and Grading incoming raw material samples specific to Leslie diverse.
xc2xb7 Pre-inspections at suppliers on raw materials to ensure quality receive comply.
xc2xb7 GMO Maize: Ensure adequate and efficient transfer and offloading planning in place.
xc2xb7 Non-GMO Maize: Ensure receipt, transfer, sampling, testing, grading of non-GMO raw materials is conducted correctly.
xc2xb7 Maize transfers: Ensure that Maize comply with standard requirements.
xc2xb7 Prepare, conduct and track pest control actions and inspections using IPMP.
xc2xb7 Plan and order required remedies and equipment. Manage budget for departments.
xc2xb7 Manage the storage of, usage and disposal of all remedies and PPE.
xc2xb7 Ensure that all consignments of raw materials are sampled and inspected for infestation.
xc2xb7 Ensure that all returns, whether internally or externally is thoroughly inspected for any sign of infestation and that remedial action is taken as required.
xc2xb7 Ensure effective rodent, cat and bird control.
xc2xb7 Ensure pallet pest control is adequately performed.
xc2xb7 Ensure compliance to the OHSA as well as all relevant environmental legislation
xc2xb7 Ensure compliance to all company OHS and environmental policies.
xc2xb7 Create and use track and control documents to ensure productivity and effective food, safety and quality management.
xc2xb7 Manage Raw Material stores & Silo to required standards.Minimum Requirements:
xc2xb7 Grade 12
xc2xb7 PC Literate
xc2xb7 Qualified Grain Grader (Maize, Sorghum, Sunflower)
xc2xb7 Grain grading qualifications in other grain commodities will be an advantage.
xc2xb7 P Registration Licence (valid with latest medical results)
xc2xb7 Valid driverxe2x80x99s license and own transport.
xc2xb7 Fluent in English.
xc2xb7 Investigative skills.
xc2xb7 Hygiene auditing.
xc2xb7 Lab and grading equipment usage.
xc2xb7 Minimum of 3 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in pest control management.
xc2xb7 Minimum of 3 yearsxe2x80x99 relevant experience, Operational environment in FMCG (Food Manufacturing) as a Manager.
xc2xb7 Previous experience with Mills will be an advantage.
