Job Description


The role is responsible for the end-to-end process of raw materials on-site.REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING

  • Grade 12
  • A relevant tertiary qualification
REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in a similar position and industry
  • Raw material stock control and stock management experience
  • Animal Feed Manufacturing will be an added advantage
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
  • Maintain FIFO
  • Ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials to production
  • Managing stock lead days within set parameters
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Timeously resolve supplier complaints
  • Limit stock losses to a minimum and explain stock deviations
  • Ensure timeous and accurate reporting
  • Conduct effective and regular stock takes
  • Maintain internal controls and procedures and ensure compliance.
  • Ensure accurate and timeous planning and recording of stock and capturing of all stock intakes accurately (GRVs)
  • Ensure timeous reporting of stock claims
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Production Manager
  • Adhere to all safety regulation policies, procedures and notices and ensures monthly health and safety reports are done
  • Obtain V-number and MSD (Safety Data Sheet) for raw materials before a request is sent to Master Data for loading.
  • Ensure that allocated work is clean and complete cleaning register
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/ COMPETENCIES
  • Strong administration and organizational skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word, SAP and Outlook as a minimum)
  • High level of personal and professional integrity
  • Ability to multi-skill
  • Proficiency in English and one other official language
  • Numerical acumen and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle stress
