Raw Materials Supervisor - PinetownFull job descriptionThe Raw Materials Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and managing the raw materials for both Continental Compounders and Continental Engineering Compounds to ensure customers demands are met. They are responsible for monitoring stores and raw material levels. They need to ensure that the correct goods are delivered or received, in the correct quantities. They will need to accurately keep records of all goods. They are also responsible for the general housekeeping of both receiving and dispatch. They are accountable to the Logistics ManagerKEY PERFORMANCE AREASMaterial requirements planning (MRPs)Inventory ManagementProduction PlanningReceiving MaterialsHousekeepingStock and Warehouse ManagementEnsure all raw materials are correctly labelled and scannedEnsure raw materials are available in line with MRPsIn collaboration with Procurement, monitor and track the use of raw materialsEscalate shortages to ensure production plan is not affectedWork closely with production management to ensure that raw materials are available to successfully run the production planUnderstand and optimise supply chains and systemsCommunicate MRPs to all relevant stakeholdersIn collaboration with senior management conduct stock build plans considering the capacity of raw materials supplyUpdate and maintain all required IT and online systemsManage space in warehouses, ensuring raw materials are systematically organisedManage redundant stockWarehouses to be organised and tidy at all timesOversee and supervise stock controllers, ensuring the necessary processes and procedures are being followedInventory ManagementManage daily and monthly stock countsPrepare for monthly stock take and reconciliationUpdate and maintain all required IT and online systemsDaily and month-end reports including stock variance reconciliationDispatching and ReceivingEnsuring the correct goods are delivered or dispatchedEnsure the correct quantities of raw materials are delivered or dispatchedEnsuring all received or dispatched goods are in good quality or conditionCalculate the raw materials received to ensure it is correctManage GRVs, returns to suppliers and price dispute variationsHousekeepingEnsuring that stores are clean and tidy at all timesOperating a forklift to assist with receiving and dispatch as requiredGeneral ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate professional, ethical and leadership qualities through actions and behaviourMaintain confidentiality in relation to company informationPromote team efforts to build a strong working relationship amongst staff.Improve processes and policies in support of organisational goals.Monitor adherence and adhere to rules, regulations and procedures.Liaising with senior and top managementAdvise management on any potential risks to the safety, health, environment, or any threat to the company, and where possible act to mitigate these risksAlways act in the best interests of the companySkills and ExperienceDiploma/qualification in supply chain or stock management3 years experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience of supply chain and material requirements planningStrong problem solving skillsStrong analytical and data skills, numeracyMS Office proficiencyStrong organisational and time management skillsAttention to details and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentAbility to perform under pressureExperience of supervising staffJob Type: Full-timeAbility to commute/relocate:Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
