Senior Accounts Clerk: Cashbook and Treasury (Grade 09)Finance Division: TreasuryThe Finance Division invites suitably qualified candidates to join their team.Main ObjectivesTo provide effective & efficient accounting / administration and control measures in accordance with the University's policies and procedures. The accounting / administration and control measures relates tothe identification, correct allocation, processing and reconciling of Bank / Cash Book transactions, cell phone and Foreign Exchange administration. Further to ensure that a high standard of communication and service is maintained at all times.The RequirementsGrade 12, preferably with accounting, plus approximately 4 years' relevant experience where such experience includes: -Previous experience in a pressurised administrative / accounting environment.Working to tight deadlines and multiple demandsPrevious experience in reconciling accounts (e.g. bank reconciliations & control account reconciliations)Previous experience in Online Banking would be an advantageSound computer literacy skills and having worked with computerised accounts (proficiency in Microsoft Excel compulsory)A relevant accounting qualification would be an advantage.Application ProcessIt is essential that prospective candidates read the for further information and ensure that all relevant documentation is submitted.The following documents are required:
