Job Description

Purpose of role:The purpose of the role within the Supply Chain and encompasses Receiving. The role is to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations related to receiving and inventory management. This includes managing a team responsible for ensuring the accuracy of received goods, stock replenishment, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.Responsibilities:People ManagementSupervise administrators, quality controllers and scannersOptimise team roaster for efficiency.Resource optimisationEnsure effective allocation of resourcesStock and Order ManagementOversee stock replenishmentManagement inter-branch transfersLogistics and supply chain managementManage reverse logistics processes.Liaise with suppliersQuality and quantity controlImplement quality control measuresSafety ManagementEnsure safety protocolsMaintain equipment safetyProcess AdherenceEnsure 100% adherence to operational receiving processes.Stakeholder managementCollaborate with suppliers, category managers, finance, internal team, etc.Shrinkage managementMinimize shrinkageGrade 12 or NQF 4 equivalentTertiary education will be an advantageExperience working in a retail environment3-10 Years ExperienceProven logistics experience.Must be able to work shifts, alternate Saturdays/ Sundays and open the warehouse at 06:00 am dailyAdhere to all operational and ad hoc requirements.Proficiency in inventory management system.Strong understanding of warehouse operations, receiving ,inventory management and DespatchingExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage internal and outsource teams.Ability to liaise with planners, finance, internal team and suppliers.Self-confident, hardworking and leads by example.Strong leadership and decision-making skills.Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.Customer-focused approach and ability to drive a high-performance team.A team player.Excellent customer service.Passion to serve.Friendly, helpful, confident and engaging personality.Curious and assumes initiative.Proficiency in English.Ability to multitask.
