The overall purpose of this role is to:
Supervise receiving staff and activities in the Maitland warehouse.
Ensure deliveries are physically inspected against delivery note information at time of vehicle unloading.
Ensure all system transactions and administrative tasks related to stock receiving are accurately and timeously completed in the Maitland warehouse.
Key Functional Areas:
Lead and manage the warehouse receiving team.
Ensure all ERP systems transactions are accurately and timeously completed.
Develop standard operating procedures to increase productivity
Perform regular cycle counts and physical audits to verify physical inventory accuracy against system records.
Identifying and communicating discrepancies or problems related to inventory to relevant stakeholders
Monitor inventory levels and call off materials from satellite warehouses as required.
Manage the receiving department environment in terms of housekeeping, safety, hygiene and security.
Implement stock control best practices / processes in the receiving department to ensure inventory accuracy.
Monitor and evaluate daily employee performance to provide data support for performance assessments.
Ensure employees understand and comply with policies, procedures and expectations.
Generate and review operational reports / statistics.
Perform administrative duties as required.
Perform incident investigations
Required prior learning/ experience:
Matric plus relevant tertiary qualification (National Diploma / Degree)
A minimum of 3-years' experience in a Supervisory role, preferably in a food processing environment.
Excellent communication, leadership, organization, and customer service skills
Excellent administration skills
Proactive nature with good business sensibility
Strong multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced working environment
Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (Syspro)
Computer literacy - Office 365
Own transport
