Job Description

Malander is seeking an experienced Recruitment Lead for a client based in Cape Town. The ideal candidate would be required to have extensive experience in the renewables industry and be based in Cape Town.Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement recruitment strategies aligned with business needs;
• Lead and mentor the recruitment team, ensuring hiring goals are met;
• Utilise various sourcing methods to identify potential candidates;
• Maintain a talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs;
• Create and post compelling job descriptions on appropriate platforms;
• Manage recruitment advertising campaigns to attract a diverse pool of candidates;
• Review applications and conduct initial interviews;
• Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and other stakeholders;
• Standardise and oversee the interview process, training hiring managers on effective interviewing techniques;
• Collaborate with hiring managers to extend job offers and negotiate terms;
• Ensure alignment of job offers with company policies and budget;
• Oversee the onboarding process to ensure smooth integration of new hires;
• Work with HR and other departments to provide necessary training and resources for new employees;
• Track and analyse recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and quality of hire;
• Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on recruitment performance and challenges;
• Ensure recruitment practices comply with relevant labor laws and regulations;
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve recruitment processes;
• Promote the company as an employer of choice at job fairs, career events, and networking opportunities;
• Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies and vendors;
• Negotiate contracts with recruitment agencies and monitor their performance;
• Enhance the companyxe2x80x99s visibility and employer branding.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in the renewables industry;
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain candidate pipelines;
• Experience in managing and leading a recruitment team;
• Strong understanding of various sourcing techniques and recruitment strategies;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;
• High level of organisational and time management skills.
