Job Description

Position:Refractory EngineerEssence of the job:To provide on-site technical assistance to Vesuvius - Flow Control operations at all customer locations. Ensuring that all current products meet production and performance criteria. New product introduction will also play a critical role for this position were trials, data collection, information generation and feedback will be required.Qualifications

• BEng/BSc Degree in Metallurgy
• 2-5 years' experience in plant process problem diagnosis in a production environment
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proven track record with regards to deadlines.
• Results driven
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Refractory knowledge and skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience

• Capturing and analyzing field/performance data of Vesuvius products.
• Leading projects within the current supply contracts.
• Investigating installation methods and report on any deviations.
• Liaise with FC Technical Manager and report on any deviations.
• Submit detailed reports on incident investigations.
• Submit detailed reports on trial results.
• Liaise with colleagues at different manufacturing plants locally and within Vesuvius group.
• Ensure safety procedures are always adhered to.
• Interact with engineers and technicians with regards to problem solving (on-site).
• Investigating and evaluating of product samples.
• Compiling monthly reports.
• Liaising with product specialists locally and abroad to ensure continuous development and improvement of FC products.
• Conduct failure/incident investigations and submit report.
• Compiling and submission of CCAR documents.
• Record keeping and analyzing of product performances.
