The Account Manager is tasked with new business in the region, as well as maintaining and growing existing relationships and key wholesale accounts. The role focusses on the wholesale segment and the pull activity to Tavern, counter and retail independent segments. The role is crucial in supporting the District Managers and General Manager in Key Account Management and order generation and Joint up business planning.
Main responsibilities
Focus Area 1: Account Management
Manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success
Compile daily / weekly reports
Manage sales and administration
Account Reviews
Handle customer and consumer complaints and queries
Focus Area 2: Sales Execution
Implement and develop promotional activity to drive consistent pull in relation to the channel management process
Influence liquor retail pricing within focus segments
Maintain stock levels within segments
Using Commercial conversations/arguments/calculations to influence
Influence the placement of our products to maintain the best cold and ambient space
Monitor sales metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).
Focus Area 3: Relationship Management
Develop great business relationships
Maintain customer call rate and frequency
Focus Area 4: Redistributors/Wholesalers
Attract, retain and manage all redistributors
Work closely to discover new opportunities to work together for mutual benefit.
Requirements of Role:
Post-matric qualification
in Sales or Marketing.
Minimum of
5 years' experience
in Sales/Marketing within an FMCG environment.
Beverage industry experience
is essential.
Valid, unendorsed Code 8 driver's license.
Proficiency in
Microsoft Office
, with
advanced Excel skills

Strong ability to communicate in
regional languages
relevant to the market.
