Job Description


The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing, maintenance of production equipment, sales, administration, and budgeting of all regional operations, production records and miscellaneous plant management duties as requiredKey Responsibilities:xc2xb7 Overall accountability for all regional activities and operations.xc2xb7 Determine plant policies consistent with organization or corporate policies and direct and supervise the application of such policies to the plant's organization.xc2xb7 Ensure Plant's compliance to government and regulatory requirements such as OHSA.xc2xb7 Providing customer support and sales management for regional customers.xc2xb7 Oversees the maintenance of buildings, and equipment, and plant security and protection.xc2xb7 Provide leadership to all aspects of the operations.xc2xb7 Financial control and accountability for meeting budget and revenue targets.xc2xb7 Responsible for the Profit and Loss of the branch.xc2xb7 Drive regional sales towards budget goals.xc2xb7 Educate, develop, and motivate the team to achieve required results.xc2xb7 Establish goals and objectives and assure performance of such is met at the lowest cost and highest quality.xc2xb7 Provide business leadership that demonstrates commitment to plant goals on a day-to-day basis.xc2xb7 Control and minimize operating expenses such as labour, overtime, freight, and repair expenses.xc2xb7 Maintains a clean and safe work environment by enforcing good communication practices and good housekeeping practices.xc2xb7 Ensure personal productivity and performance meets required standards.xc2xb7 Serve as the face of the company within the region and the communities in which we operate.xc2xb7 All reporting- Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly- for Finance, Legal compliance, Production, Sales, and Inventory Management.Ad hoc duties, as requiredQualifications and job requirements:xc2xb7 Diploma or degree in Engineering, Business Management or Sales.xc2xb7 Minimum 8 years relevant industry experience.xc2xb7 Previous experience/best practices implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, etc. to drive improvement.xc2xb7 Previous experience/strong understanding of budgeting/expense management with a basic understanding of financial and accounting practices.xc2xb7 Previous experience/broad understanding of safety systems and enforcement of safety rules and policies.xc2xb7 Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to balance production and maintenance needsxc2xb7 Good understanding of South African labour law and industrial relations.xc2xb7 Excellent mathematical skills and strong attention to detailxc2xb7 Retail Sales experience.xc2xb7 Ability to lead diverse teams, with experience in a unionised environment.xc2xb7 Ability to be a team playerxc2xb7 A pro-active person, with the ability to drive goals and targets.xc2xb7 Be willing to work overtime when requiredxc2xb7 Honest and Reliablexc2xb7 Good Communication Skillsxc2xb7 Ability to work under pressure and maintain personal control.xc2xb7 Ability to apply common sense/ understanding too problem-solving.
