Our client in the Insurance industry is currently looking for a Regional Head, in Cape Town, Western Cape.Responsibilities:
Regional Business Plan:
Develop and implement the regional business plan by analyzing and identifying opportunities for growing market share - plans to be based on following key revenue drivers.
Cancellations.
Cross & Up-selling.
Lead Generation and New Business.
Translate plans into individual team objectives.
Achieve Financial Targets/Budgets.
Operational effectiveness:
Develop and manage processes and systems to ensure the provision of a Superior Service Experience at all touch points.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) aligned to group/company minimum standards.
Implement and manage respective client service models (Advice/Volume)
Continuous improvement of quality of advice.
Monitor that the sales team writes quality business into the correct servicing channel.
Report and manage bottlenecks pro-actively.
Ensure all projects are initiated on time and completed within agreed time frames.
Compliance:
Ensure that the Region complies with all relevant legislation and regulations.
Ensure that all product provider relationships are managed in accordance with the requirements of the Indwe standards and applicable legislation.
Minimal deviations for annual regional compliance audit.
Talent Management:
Ensure the business has a developed plan in conjunction with Human Capital which identifies strengths and weaknesses in our Talent Management across all levels of the business.
Develop a plan to strengthen the weaknesses (where possible) and to build on the strengths (where possible)
Identify shortages in talent in specific positions and develop a medium-term plan to counter this.
Ensure the recruitment strategy and processes align with the need to recruit high quality recruits, ensuring the right person in the right job.
Ensure performance management processes and procedures are effectively implemented.
Learning and Growth:
Ensure a culture of constant development and improvement is cultivated in the company.
Ensure the learning and development programs are aligned with our strategic intent in individual, business and specialist lines.
All training for staff to be based on Personal Development Plans (PDP)
Transformation:
Ensure the attraction and Selection of top caliber EE candidates in line with regional targets.
Accelerate the development of key EE personnel for succession planning.
Contribute towards the achievement of the Regional BBBEE targets (Scorecard)
Requirements:
Minimum 10 years short-term insurance experience, preferably in an intermediary environment.
Previous leadership experience (at least 5 years) of similar size businesses in the insurance industry.
Proven ability to successfully lead the broking operations function (Commercial & Personal Lines) in an intermediary environment in the insurance industry.
Matric.
Passed The Fais Regulatory Exams.
3 Year Diploma/Degree in Finance e. g B. Com or Similar.
Insurance Qualification NQF5.

Up to R160 000 per month depending on qualification and experience.
