Company profile:SA Metal Group is South Africa's oldest and largest metal recycling company. The Group purchases and processes all forms of ferrous metals (steel and iron) and non-ferrous metals (aluminum, copper, zinc, stainless steel, brass and others) from industrial enterprises, scrap metal dealers and private individuals. Our processing facilities are located in and around Cape Town, Johannesburg and Pretoria. The Group was established 105 years ago.Key responsibilities:The following responsibilities cover the Gauteng and surrounds region. The regional manager will report to the Divisional Director of HR based in Cape Town, but will be given significant independence to manage his/her own team -

• Manage HR Team
• Manage entire recruitment programme
• Manage Industrial Relations processes including discipline, grievances, and CCMA cases
• Advise on legislative requirements and updates
• Create reports on statistics regarding employment practices
• Ensure all departments function within the policies and procedures as set out in the company manual.
• Consult on training requirements

Qualifying experience:

• A degree or diploma in Human Resources, Human Capital or Industrial Psychology At least 5 years' management experience in a medium to large company - preferably in manufacturing or allied industries
• Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent writing skills
• Time management and organizational skills
• Ability to think and organise analytically
• Strong and clear understanding of basic HR management e.g. Absentee control
