Regional IT Manager - JhbWHAT IS ON OFFERAlfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Regional IT Manager to join the team in Johannesburg. This individual will be responsible for the day to day management of a team of IT staff in their region. The Regional IT Managers role is to work closely with senior business and IT stakeholders to identify, define and deliver digital solutions that add value to AHKs service to its clients. You will provide technology support to their designated business units, according to Group IT standards. The Regional IT Manager will also provide support to the centralised IT department when local solutions are being deployed globally. This includes all areas of people management, such as recruitment, disciplinaries, absence/leave management and personal development reviews.Oversee the performance of the local IT support teams, using the ITSM tool to measure performance against support SLAs/KPIs.Ensure local IT teams are resolving issues in a timely manager.Liaise with Group IT management to ensure issues are escalated and resolved on time.Ensure local IT solutions and problem resolution are aligned to Group IT standards.Business Systems AnalysisCreate clearly defined solution specifications.Analyse and present the solution ROI, using both qualitative and quantitative methods.Lead workshops and interviews with key business stakeholders, to elicit and capture both the users and organisations requirements.Define the business problem and primary objectives of new projects. Identify and validate the key business requirements.Elicit and analyse functional, non-functional and technical requirements from business stakeholders.Understand problem domain and explain complex issues in clear terms to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Use data modelling practices to analyse requirements and create recommendations for business change.Consider opportunities and potential risks to any recommendations you have made.Effectively communicate the benefits of your recommendations across business units and address any uncertainty and concern.Support the staff and teams in implementing your recommendations, including support in resolving any related issues.Perform gap analysis on the to-be versus the as-is process, to verify that any existing business processes are not affected by your recommendations.Evaluate potential software solutions, including off-the-shelf and open source components, and the system architecture to ensure that they meet business requirements.Capture and document functional requirements. Coordinate walk-through and sign offs, verifying the accuracy of the requirements with business users.Write thorough UAT scripts to validate the solution against the business outcomes.Lead UAT with business users to obtain sign-off on the solution against the business requirements.Assist with project pre-initiation phase by supporting business users in presenting business cases and conduct feasibility studies on solution options. Project Management Lead the planning and implementation of designated projects, aligned with the IT PMO methodology.Present on project status and provide project updates to senior management.Accurately define the projects scope and goals.Plan and schedule the projects timeline, distributing gantt charts to project stakeholders.Plan and allocate project resources, ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner.Carry out project risk assessments, documenting and managing risks to the project.Administer the project, keeping all project documentation up to date.Manage stakeholder expectations on projects.Track and provide updates on project performance.Evaluate project success and measure actual versus expected results.Support the implementation of new digital services and bringing them into production, monitoring and optimising the performance and costs of the services & IT applications.Ensure optimisation and quality improvement of the services.To undertake other duties of an appropriate nature in consultation with line manager.BENEFITSWe are offering an excellent opportunity with a salary and benefits package to matchCLOSING DATE: 27 February 2024
