Job Description

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Farming Field Manager to join their team. As a key member of their Farming Division, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing designated farming units in the North West, Northern Free State, and Western Free State regions.Key Responsibilities:

• Planning: Oversee the development of crop production plans for maize, soybeans, sunflower, wheat, and canola. Evaluate input prices and farming practices to optimize production plans.
• Execution: Ensure the timely implementation of production plans within the allocated budget. Monitor land preparations, planting, and input applications to maximize crop yield.
• Management: Provide guidance and support to Field Managers and Farming Contractors. Conduct regular field visits to address challenges and monitor progress. Manage on-farm stock and ensure accurate reporting.
• Reporting: Provide regular updates on crop progress and production outcomes. Report on budget adherence and potential factors affecting spending. Coordinate with the Head Office for accurate inventory management.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or Agricultural Economics.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience in team management and leadership across diverse geographical areas.
