Remote (Suitable only for candidates based in Gauteng, South Africa)
$3500.00 (R64 000.00 a month + Incentives)
12 Month Contract (Extended every 12 months)A textile company based in India is seeking a Regional Sales Manager. Specializing in home furnishings like bed linen, cushions, and curtains, they focus on quality and design, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques. With a global presence and a commitment to sustainability, they produce stylish and eco-friendly products. The ideal candidate will have extensive sales and marketing experience in the home textiles industry, tasked with expanding market reach and driving sales growthMinimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field
Minimum 7+ years of experience as a sales manager in the home fashion/textile/furniture/garments industry in Southern/East African region
Strong leadership and management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to travel regionally as needed
Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
Understanding of sales performance metrics
Experience in analyzing market trends and conducting market research to develop sales strategies
Experience in managing and building sales teams and establishing new sales channels
Knowledge of the region's market and culture
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and retailersDuties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve regional sales targets
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives to drive performance and meet sales goals
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape of the Southern/East African region to identify opportunities for growth
Establish new sales channels and appoint dealers, distributors, and retailers in the region
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and retailers to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
Manage sales budgets, forecasts, and financial performance within the region
Provide regular sales reports and updates to senior management, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities
Attend industry events and conferences to represent the company and network with potential clients
