Are you the right person, to make sure the future of food processing equipment is in good hands?As our Regional Service Business Manager (based in Johannesburg), you will be responsible for customer management and service sales in your region :

  • Team management: Build and lead a proactive, customer-focused commercial team to achieve sales and customer satisfaction targets.
  • Drive Consistency: Ensure the team follows global processes and local best practices, and provide continuous training.
  • Staff Management: Set targets, coach staff, review performance, address shortfalls, and communicate with HR.
  • Market Analysis and Planning: Analyze market potential and develop business plans to meet targets.
  • Support Regional Planning: Assist in preparing the regional operational plan and budget.
  • Execute Business Plan: Ensure sales targets and customer satisfaction goals are met.
  • Customer Engagement: Visit customers, assist with orders, and maintain key relationships.
  • Opportunity Management: Manage the pipeline of opportunities and collaborate with Regional Sales Managers.
  • Promote Best Practices: Share knowledge and best practices with other sub-regions and functions.
  • Handle Escalations: Work with the team on escalations as needed.
  • Travel: Travel within the region and internationally as required.

  • Commercial Expertise: Proven sales and business leadership in aftermarket services.
  • People Management: Strong leadership and self-motivation.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Outgoing and adept at interacting with customers and teams.
  • Team Leadership: Experience in leading customer-facing and sales teams.
  • Technical Understanding: Ability to understand and consult on service products and solutions.
  • Analytical and Goal-Oriented: Results-driven with strong analytical skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, SAP, or ServiceMax.
  • Industry Experience: Preferred experience with food processing equipment or similar industries.
Education, Knowledge, and Experience
  • Degree: Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Business Administration preferred.
  • Language: Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Leadership and Sales: Proven experience in commercial management and sales in a B2B service environment.
  • Experience: 5+ years in a similar role, preferably in the food industry.
