Job SummaryKey Responsibilities:

• Property Valuation Services: Conduct objective appraisals of individual properties and portfolios, ensuring accurate market and replacement cost values. Handle the full valuation process including inspection, market research, and report generation.
• Client Interaction: Deliver timely, well-motivated valuation reports, address client inquiries professionally, and ensure fee recovery.
• Business Development: Promote valuation services to generate additional fee income, identify new client opportunities, and stay updated with property market trends.
• Portfolio Valuations & Support: Carry out bi-annual and monthly valuations of managed portfolios. Prepare comprehensive valuation notes, including title deed info, inspection findings, and market research.
• Municipal Valuations Management: Manage municipal valuations of all group properties, including monitoring valuation rolls and handling objections.
• Team Oversight & Mentorship: Lead and mentor regional valuation staff, including candidate valuers.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Support asset management and other departments, assist with property budgets, local authority valuations, and municipal valuation rolls.
• Ad-Hoc Duties & Budget Control: Manage regional budgets and undertake ad-hoc research and valuation tasks as required.

Essential Requirements:

• Experience & Registration: Minimum of 5 years as a qualified Valuer, registered with the South African Council for the Property Valuation Profession (MRICS preferred).
• Technical Skills: Strong background in commercial valuations, including DCF and investment valuation techniques. Proficiency in relevant software; MRI Investment Modeling experience is advantageous.
• Personal Attributes: Conscientious, motivated, with excellent time management, attention to detail, and a professional attitude. Leadership qualities and capability for independent work.
• Mobility: Full South African drivers license with reliable transport. Ability to travel as required.
• Commercial property experience
