Job Description
Our client, a leader in the private healthcare industry, is urgently looking for an experienced Senior Professional Nurse with proven work experience in theatre. This is a permanent position at a private hospital in Plettenberg Bay in the Western Cape.BENEFITS

- Post graduate certificate/ diploma in theatre will serve as an advantage
- At least 3 years Clinical experience as a Professional Nurse in theatre
- Pharmacology
- Nursing record keeping
- Nursing processes and procedures
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Relevant nursing legislation
- Infection prevention and control (IPC) principles and protocols
- Scientific nursing principles and process
- Audit patient records
- Patient assessment skills
- Develop/ modify a nursing care plan
- Scope of practice for nurse practitioners
- For specialised wards; ACLS; ATLS; PALS trained;
- Risk identification
- Analysing and interpretation skills
- Basic life support trained
- Duties and responsibilities according to nursing scope of practice
- Theatre duties and responsibilities
