Job Description
Introduction:
Mowana requires a dynamic, individual to deliver quality, person centered nursing care to residents at the Home. This position will report directly to the Villa Assumpta manager. This is a half day position.
Job Objectives:
assessing changes in residents' condition whether acute or chronic and implementing appropriate interventions,
managing chronic conditions including dressings, catheterisations, oxygen administration, nebulisation etc,
administration of medication and observation of side effects
assessing when to refer for medical assistance and
implementing palliative care when appropriate.
It also requires the supervision of staff and elements of staff development, liaison with family and service providers.
Responsible for report writing and admin work within each wing
Minimum Requirements:
Skills and Attributes:
A qualification as a Registered Nurse.
5 years' experience in a similar role/environment
Behavioral/ Interpersonal skills-Incumbent should possess a passion for above objectives
Unendorsed drivers license is non negotiable
Technical knowledge and expertise relating to nursing procedures and interventions
Ability to implement and maintain nursing services.
Ability to work shifts (Day and Night)
Able to converse & write fluently in English
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: R10000,00 - R12000,00 per month
License/Certification:
Nursing Council registration (Required)
