Job Summary Requirements: A degree in Law. Admission as a practicing Attorney or Advocate. 8 - 10 years legal experience. 3 or more years experience in a senior management position. A Master's degree in ICT policy and regulation, competition or administrative law will be an added advantage. Experience in: ICT policy ICT legislation ICT regulation Competition Law ICT trends and drivers ICT Legal advisory Business process management Strategic planning Risk management Responsibilities: Legal analysis of the legislative, regulatory and policy environment; Managing and maintaining all legal, compliance and policy opinions on regulatory policies, practices, processes and submissions; Manages and directs the preparation of legal and policy position papers and provides legal input in the preparation of written and oral submission on ICT legislative, regulatory and policy development; Provide legal advice in ICT and competition law in respect of license conditions, competition law enforcement and mergers; Manages and promotes compliance with prevailing ICT legislation and regulatory instruments; In collaboration with the Risk Management function, manages and mitigates the enterprise risks, compliance risks and business risks pertaining to ICT regulatory issues for the company.MECS AfricaRecruiter
