Our client is also known for its tailored risk management services and its ability to adapt to the unique challenges faced by businesses in Southern Africa.You will be responsible for the timely and accurate management of the reinsurance accounting function. This includes everything from system setup to capturing and reporting, as well as providing business partner insights to our Leadership Team.Reach out to for more information.Duties:

• Reinsurance Technical Accounting:Oversee the technical aspects of reinsurance accounting.
• General Ledger Maintenance:Prepare journal entries, analyse accounts, and maintain accuracy.
• Result and Balance Analysis:Conduct thorough analysis to ensure financial integrity.
• Non-Prop Claims Accounting:Assist in the technical accounting and reporting for Non-Prop claims.
• Monthly and Quarterly Reporting:Prepare and submit reports to stakeholders, brokers, and reinsurers.
• Reconciliations:Ensure all reinsurance accounts are accurately reconciled.
• Treaty Statistics Preparation:Assist in preparing key statistics for treaties.
• System Implementation:Support the testing and implementation of new reinsurance reporting systems.
• Process Improvement:Continuously streamline and improve accounting processes.
• Ad Hoc Tasks:Provide support to the reinsurance team as needed

Job Experience & Skills Required:Qualifications:

• Matric (Garde 12)
• Com Accounting Degree

Experience:

• Minimum 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in finance roles in the insurance industry, preferably in reinsurance
