You will be responsible for the accurate management of the reinsurance accounting function, from system setup to capturing and reporting. This role provides vital business partner insights to the leadership team, contributing to better risk decisions and streamlined processes. • Manage reinsurance technical accounting and general ledger maintenance
• Conduct analysis of results and balances, including NonProp claims technical accounting and reporting
• Prepare monthly reinsurance reports and quarterly technical account submissions to brokers and reinsurers
• Reconcile reinsurance accounts and assist with treaty statistics preparation
• Support the testing and implementation of reports on new reinsurance systems and streamline processes
• Collaborate with functional business heads, finance, reinsurance underwriting, reinsurers, and brokers

Job Experience & Skills Required:Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom Accounting

Experience:

• 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in finance roles within the insurance industry, preferably in reinsurance3
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; SAP knowledge is an advantage

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong analytical skills and financial management expertise
• Effective collaboration and communication with internal and external stakeholders
• Detail-oriented, accurate, and well-organized
