5 years in the short-term insurance industry
KEY PERFORMANCE AREASUnderwriting and Client Servicing
Process amendments to existing policies and capture new policies accurately.
Ensure clients understand policy terms and coverage in line with regulations.
Negotiate policy terms and premiums with insurers and prepare quotations.
Administer premium collections and debit order returns.
Claims Administration
Manage the end-to-end claims process, ensuring timely settlements.
Provide regular updates to clients and Relationship Managers
Maintain accurate claims records and compliance with FAIS and FSB regulations.
Reporting and Compliance
Assist in preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
Ensure adherence to statutory disclosures and regulatory requirements.
Report and document client complaints related to claims and underwriting.
Budget and Expense Management
Monitor and manage expenses within budget without compromising service.
Implement cost-saving initiatives such as a paperless environment.
Business Development and Client Acquisition
Support Relationship Managers in identifying and securing new business.
Evaluate and present insurance quotations to prospective clients.
Drive growth of the existing client portfolio to meet business targets.
Training and Development
Stay up to date with FAIS and FSB regulations and engage in continuous professional development in the short-term insurance market.
General Support and Ad Hoc Duties
Provide backup support to Relationship Managers when required.
Participate in branch activities, meetings, and marketing initiatives.
Contribute to business innovation and process improvements.
