Avanti is now seeking to recruit one of our most important and exciting roles. We require a Relationship Manager with sales experience in Africa to support and deliver our ambitions in Southern and Eastern Africa.The Relationship Manager is an integral part of our business, and this role will be key to securing and growing our South African Carrier business, and will be managing our client expectations, nurturing long -term relationships, and working closely with internal teams to support the Sales Director and team to achieve business goals.Ideally, you will be well connected with great relationships and a proven track record within the carriers or telecommunications industry across South Africa. Satellite technology knowledge would be an advantage.This individual will be involved in all elements building the Avanti Communications business in Southern and Eastern Africa with responsibility for supporting the Carrier pursuit strategy, acquisition and relationship management activities including business development plans, proposition development and go to market planning.Key Accountabilities & ResponsibilitiesProactively support the MTN Sales Director and the team to develop new and profitable business in line with Avantis strategy.Act as the key contact point for allocated client relationships internally and externally, ensuring a high level of customer care at all times.Understand and identify the needs of the client to build and maintain trusted relationships identifying opportunities to enhance the customer experience that may include generating additional business through cross-selling or up-selling, as necessary.Develop and maintain strong business networks, to ensure Avanti is viewed as an integral partner to their business model.Improve and meet sales targets through long-term customer retention.Continuously monitor client satisfaction levels, promptly and effectively addressing customer issues by collaborating with the wider Avanti team, to ensure that clients expectations are met.Develop knowledge of industry competition and market trends and develop strategies for Avanti to stay a market leader.Support the cellular backhaul strategy within the KA vs KU space.Lead on the end-to-end process ensuring the effective execution of all activities post bid approval, including documentary review and negotiation with legalSkills & QualificationsData management and knowledge of managing the sales pipeline is essential.Effective pipeline management and prospectingIn-depth understanding of CRM tools and the MS Office suite, with the ability to assess customer trends proven track record of solution sales with experience of presenting, influencing, and negotiating with C-1 level.Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.Excellent communication skills with the ability to create and deliver sales presentations tailored to the relevant audience.Driven, confident, professional, and able to develop relationships at all levels of an organisation.Outstanding customer serviceAbility to work with stakeholders across all business functions and at various levels within the organisation.Experience in the bids and tenderStrong delegation skills with an ability to performance manage internal staff where required.Broad technical understanding of the ITC industry in SouthStrong financial and businessBenefitsA Competitive Salary, pension scheme, and life assurance & private medical insurance.A generous and highly achievable bonus scheme - paid annually based on individual and company performance against targets.Along with 25 Days Annual Leave (excluding bank holidays) plus an Additional Day on us for your Birthday.Buy or sell up to 3 holiday days per annum.Free access to the Employee Assistance Programme.In addition to the above responsibilities, the jobholder is required to perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the line manager from time to time.By applying for this position, you consent to your personal information being shared with our recruitment outsourcing partner.
