Relief/assistant Dc Manager (national)

Job Description
Leading distributor of both cold and ambient FMCG products, requires an Assistant DC Manager to provide operational support and relief Distribution Centre Managers, nationally. The incumbent will be assisting the DC Manager in Johannesburg, until such a time relief is needed where the incumbent will travel at short notice, as and when needed. This role reports into the Supply Chain Manager.Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics / Operations / Supply Chain
- 3-5 years in Warehouse Management
- Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience
- Knowledge of Cold Storage essential
- Transport and Fleet Management advantageous
- ERP system (Pastel advantageous)
- Inventory management and stock loss investigation and reporting
- Management of multiple warehouse teams
- KPI management and upskilling
- IR and HR resolution
- Continuously improve the performance of the depot
- Manage and measure warehouse performance based on best practice
- Maintain and arrange maintenance for freezer equipment and machinery
- Management of driver and forklift operators (licenses, PDPs and renewals)
- Display a leadership role in food safety practices
- Comply with all legal requirements, legislations, processes and protocols
