Renewable Energy Assembly Technician/Assistant - NoupoortFull job descriptionJob Title: Renewable Energy Assembly Technician/AssistantLocation: Noupoort (Northern Cape) & Middelburg (Eastern Cape)Position Overview: We are seeking two skilled and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Wind Turbine Assembly Technician/Assistant. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the development and production of renewable energy systems that play a vital role in combating climate change and promoting environmental sustainability.Key Responsibilities:xc2xb7 Assemble renewable energy components, such as wind turbine parts, or hydroelectric generators, according to engineering drawings and specifications.xc2xb7 Perform quality inspections to ensure that all components meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.xc2xb7 Collaborate with engineers and project managers to troubleshoot assembly issues and implement solutions.xc2xb7 Operate specialized tools and equipment safely and efficiently.xc2xb7 Follow established safety protocols and procedures to minimize workplace hazards and ensure a safe working environment.xc2xb7 Assist in the maintenance and calibration of assembly equipment as needed.xc2xb7 Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay updated on new technologies and best practices in the renewable energy industry.xc2xb7 Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying areas for process optimization and efficiency gains.Requirements:xc2xb7 High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant vocational training preferred.xc2xb7 Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, or related fields preferred.xc2xb7 Fundamentals of the generation, protection, load center and storage components of a wind system.xc2xb7 Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.xc2xb7 Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.xc2xb7 Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.xc2xb7 Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.xc2xb7 Willingness to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and quality.xc2xb7 Must be comfortable working at heights and should not suffer from acrophobia or fear of heights.xc2xb7 Fundamentals of load movement.xc2xb7 Fundamentals of electricity.xc2xb7 Fundamentals of personal protection elements.Benefits:xc2xb7 Will be discussed during interviews.Working hours:xc2xb7 5 days a week, 9 hours a day.How to Apply: Please submit your resume and cover letter detailing your relevant experience and why you are interested in this position to info@nextgenhr.gg.
